Happy 2014 everyone! Welcome to the first weekend of 2014. I hope you all had a great holiday break. Here are some fun activities to cap off the end of winter break.
- On Saturday, there is a free Kids workshop at Home Depot where your child can make a desk calendar.
- Sunday is FREE day at the La Habra Children’s museum and the theme is Lunar New Year. Children can make painted Chinese lanterns, beautiful horse puppets and experience traditional musical performances to usher in the year of the horse.
- Also on Sunday, the Japanese American National museum will be ringing in the New Year with it’s Oshogatsu Family Festival. Admission is FREE all day. There will be arts ‘n crafts and other fun cultural performances.
- If Downtown is not your thing, it is FREE day at the Bowers museum. This Sunday, there will be a celebration honoring the traditions of African American family, community, and culture with music and dance. Admission is FREE all day.
