Tip from the Edge 2.0

I have a lemon tree. It produces enough lemons to supply a small village. Don’t get me wrong–I love my little tree but what do I do with all these lemons? I make lemonade, lemon cake, lemon scones, lemon cookies, lemon chicken….you get my drift. But one of the coolest things that I have done with my lemons is to clean my microwave with it!

Here’s what you do: Slice up one lemon and place the slices in a microwaveable bowl filled with enough water to cover the lemons. Then you stick that bowl into the microwave and nuke it for 2 minutes. Let it sit in your microwave for another 3 minutes or so and when you open the door, everything will be clean. No, not really that easy but almost. Once you open the door, simply wipe off all the surfaces in the microwave, and any stuck on food will come right off. Lastly, do a happy dance because it was so easy to clean your microwave.

And if you need a lemon, you know who to ask.
